This recipe is so easy and delicious, you’ll want to make homemade fettuccine alfredo often. In fact, it appears in my meal planning at least twice a month. It is so quick to make, easy to pair with a salad and/or bread, and my kids EAT. IT. UP.
Not going to lie… this is not the healthiest recipe, which is why I pair it with a big salad that’s full of veggies. But this recipe is so easy to make and family friendly. It only has 6 ingredients, and after you make it once, you won’t even need the recipe again. It’s that easy.
I wish I could credit someone with this recipe, but I honestly can’t remember where I got it. I think it is a combination of my sister-in-law’s recipe and something I found in a magazine years ago. If you search for alfredo recipes on Pinterest (hey! follow me on Pinterest!), you’ll find about a million ways to make it. But once I started making it this way, I never wanted to try another. It’s so easy to have these ingredients on hand and this is truly one of those recipes that make my hectic life a little easier.
It’s super kid friendly too. My kids request this meal so often. I definitely don’t add it to my kids portion (ew, green!) but adding fresh chopped parsley just levels this up! We also often serve it with fresh fruit. Delicious!
